Twenty-three-year-old woman charged with attempted robbery

The police have charged 23-year-old Shadesha Phillip of Grays Farm in connection with the attempted robbery of the Golden Grove Service Station.

Phillip is one of two assailants who allegedly attempted to rob a female pump attendant on Thursday 24, June.

While responding to the report, the police were fired upon. During the exchange of fire, Phillip was shot and was treated at the Sir Lester Bird Mount St. John Medical Center for a gunshot wound to her leg.

She is expected in court on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the police are still searching for the second suspect involved in the incident.

A reward of $25,000 is being offered to anyone who can provide the police with credible information leading to the arrest of that suspect and other persons involved in the recent incidents of robberies and shootings.

The police are further appealing to the public to pay closer attention to their overall safety and report all suspicious activities without delay.
