Trinidad: UWI student reports rape by PH taxi driver

(Looptt.com) – A 20-year-old student of the University of the West Indies has reported that she was raped by a PH taxi driver in Arima on Monday.

The victim, who resides at a St Augustine campus hall, will remain unidentified to protect her from ridicule and harm.

Police reports say around 7.30 pm, the woman entered a silver-coloured vehicle along Blanchisseuse Road, Arima when the driver took her to a bushy area and sexually assaulted her. 

Investigations are continuing.
