Freetown Travelers bid their farewell to the 1st Division of the Antigua and Barbuda Basketball Association League on Saturday night after falling to Yorks Crushers, 68-64 at the JSC Sports Complex.
Travelers who ended their campaign on a 3-13 record needed just one win to remain in the first division to bump out Ottos Full Throttle who sat in the 8th spot, but it would not become a reality.
The country team that actually remained in the top flight for over 10 years could not secure a spot in next season’s line-up despite a 23- point effort by former national players, Morlon “Little” Davis and Teon Joseph.

Travelers join Global Hawks in demotion after Hawks dropped out of the top flight in the first round.
