Tourism survey aims to capture residents’ perception of the sector
The Ministry of Tourism and Investment recently concluded a three-day training exercise for enumerators to ensure effective collection of data for the 2019 Tourism Resident Perception Survey.
From the end of this month and for about three weeks thereafter, the Ministry, in conjunction with the Statistics Division, will be conducting the survey to obtain residents’ perception of and satisfaction with tourism in Antigua and Barbuda.
Senior Tourism Officer responsible for Sustainable Tourism Development within the Ministry of Tourism and Investment, and Project Manager for the Tourism Resident Perception Survey, Vashti Ramsey-Casimir, told OBSERVER media that the data collected will be instrumental in ascertaining an understanding of tourism through the eyes of residents.
