ST JOHN’S, Antigua- The extent of damage to the Defence Force Camp Blizzard site caused by a tornado yesterday is worse than first thought, according to Commanding Officer Major Randolph Best.
Major Best says it is too early to put a cost on the damage, but that about half of the buildings on the property were affected.
He says the clean-up process is now underway.
Meantime, Director of the National Office of Disaster Services Philmore Mullin says water spouts and tornadoes are more common in these parts than people think.
