Tigers get double win in St George Community Shield Cup

Hosts, Pigotts Bullets, were huge 6-1 winners over Sea View Farm in the St George Community Shield Cup when they met at the Pigotts Playing field earlier this week. Isaac Hughes led the charge for Pigotts with a double strike while Elijah McDonald, Tian Samuel, Timo Senasi and Peter Jacobs, all scored once. Rhezal Gomes scored the lone goal for Sea View Farm.

There was victory as well for Potters Tigers as they beat Police 4-0 also at the Pigotts Playing Field.

Tigers, recently promoted to the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association (ABFA) Premier Division, had a double-strike from national striker Keon Green while Javorn Benjamin and Jamore Martin each picked up a goal.

There was victory as well for Real Blizzard as they beat Herberts 5-2. Jahrius Benjamin scored twice for the winners while J’Quan Lavfraichere, Ian Eusebe and Zawanzah Celestie all enjoyed single conversions. Swayne Thomas and Ali Sansoulotte each scored once for Herberts.

Police got in on the action in their second contest with a 2-0 win over Herberts. Rick Gordon and Joumol Semper scored for the successful lawmen.

In the other game contested, Pigotts Bullets and Real Blizzard played to a 2-2 draw. Akeem Isaac and Elijah McDonald both scored once for Pigotts while Zowamza Celestine and Taharie James were on target for Real Blizzard.
