The three men accused of killing 66-year-old Campbell Jackson of Greenbay, six months ago, are expected to make their first court appearance today.
Corporal Frankie Thomas, police public relations officer, said Alexis Mussington, Arthur James and Kennecha Marcell, all of Greenbay, will appear before a judge at the St. John’s Magistrate Court this morning.
The three men were jointly charged with the murder of the businessman over the weekend.
They were also jointly charged with the attempted murder of Jari Jackson and Tevin George, who are both from the same area.
It is alleged that on May 25, this year, the three-accused gunned down the car rental businessman who was sitting outside of his home with his son, national footballer, Jari Jackson and one of his friends Tevin George.
Campbell was shot in his back and was pronounced dead on the spot, while both Jari and Tevin were treated at the hospital for gunshot wounds.
Police described the recent arrest and subsequent charge as a major breakthrough in the case.
