Three more persons have tested positive for Covid-19, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in Antigua and Barbuda since the outbreak of the pandemic to 163.
According to information received from the Ministry of Health, there are now nine active cases – two of which are hospitalised. There has been one more recovery, bringing the total recoveries to 149.
The positive cases were detected from a batch of 22 samples processed by the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA), while all 92 samples processed by the Mount St John’s Medical Centre (MSJMC) were negative.
There are currently 22 people in government quarantine facilities, and 608 in self-quarantine, according to the latest dashboard.
Meanwhile, 75 tests are said to be pending.
