Thanks to our donors, OBSERVER Goodwill Day yields almost 200K

OBSERVER Goodwill Day Project, a personification of the fight to maintain an independent media, has channelled the sum of $193,768.59 in donations since May 15^th 2019 when the OBSERVER Goodwill Day Committee, volunteers, staff, and well-wishers invited the public to donate to the initiative.

On Saturday, the committee handed over the account in the name of Newsco Limited-Projects, to the Managing Director of Newsco Limited, Algernon “Serpent” Watts.

The idea for the project was conceived by Dame J M Eusalyn Lewis who, in expressing gratitude to everyone who showed their support, remarked that the project was an outstanding success.
