Swetes FC were huge seven-nil winners over the struggling Liberta Blackhawks in the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association (ABFA) on Tuesday, as they sought to stay in the hunt for promotion to the top flight at the end of the 2024/25 domestic season.

National striker Shalon Knight and Johdale Jno-Lewis both struck twice with Knight scoring in minutes 8 and 56, while Jno-Lewis found the back of the net in minutes 31 and 67. There were single conversions from Railique Browne in minute 48, Stanley Walters in minute 65 and T’noy Andrew in minute 79 as they completed the huge triumph at the FA’s Technical Center located on the Sir Sydney Walling Highway.

Bendals FC and SAP FC shared points on Tuesday as they played to an exciting 3-3 draw.

Travelling to Bolans, Bendals twice played from behind before taking the lead in the dying stages of the contest, but could not secure all three points.

Former national striker Peter Byers put SAP ahead in minute 19 before Mitcheo Edwards drew Bendals level on minute 37. Tyrique Tonge restored SAP’s advantage in minute 23 but the teams were back on level terms 16 minute later when Andrew Williams slotted home from close range for Bendals.

The visitors then took the lead in the 76th minute via a Kaijah Matthew strike but an injury time conversion from Byers helped secure a point for the home team.

In the other match contested, former top flight champions Empire FC, played from behind to salvage a 1-1 draw with Bolans FC at the Keithly Sheppard Recreational Park.

Tarik Highland put Bolans ahead in the 39th minute from the penalty spot, but Nyque Watkins responded for Empire in the 65th also from the penalty spot.
