A driver was hospitalized Thursday morning after their Suzuki Grand Vitara crashed into a utility pole on Newgate Street, near Hao Hao Supermarket.
The SUV jumped the curb and snapped the wooden pole before coming to rest on the sidewalk, just short of the store’s entrance. The extent of the driver’s injuries remains unknown.
Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash. No other injuries were reported.
