The driver who evaded the police after he engaged them in a high-speed chase earlier this week, turned himself in to law enforcement on Wednesday.

According to the Police PRO, Inspector Frankie Thomas, 28-year-old Arthur James was accompanied by his attorney when he surrendered to officers some time in the afternoon.

James had been wanted by the police after fleeing from them during a random stop and search exercise on Monday.

In a desperate attempt to evade the lawmen, the driver reportedly hit at least two other vehicles with his white Honda Stepwagon.

The vehicle was later found abandoned in Cassada Gardens.

OBSERVER media was unable to ascertain whether or not James has been or will be charged for any offence related to the incident.
