Summer Basketball league to shoot off today

The Cyclones Sports Club, for the first time ever, will be hosting the Cyclones Summer Basketball league in Liberta.

The league, which is expected to run from June 8th to July 6th, will feature two divisions — Under 13 and Under-16.

Six teams, namely Black Lightning, Golden Eagles, Lady Titans, Dream Team, Ball Hawks and Young Warriors will battle it out in the Under-13 category while four teams — Black Panthers, Mean Machine, Jaguars and Young Warriors will vie for the title in the Under 16 section.

Games will shoot off today at 4 pm at the Liberta court as Black Lightning will face off versus Dream Team while Ball Hawks will play Golden Eagles in the Under-13 Division.

Black Panthers and Mean Machine will battle it out in the lone Under-16 encounter at 5:30 pm.

The league is sponsored by Cool and Smooth, Nadja Auto Repair, Nafro Connections, The Courier Store, Dario Electrical, Jackey’s Car Rental and Dinez Art.
