Defending Male Volleyball champions, Stoneville, secured the title for a second consecutive year on Tuesday night at the YMCA Volleyball Indoor facility.
Stoneville, playing in the championship match versus rivals Pytonz, rallied to defeat them 3-1 in sets, winning 25-12, 25-12, 15-25, 25-22 to hoist the coveted title for the second straight year.
The champions finished their 2019 Antigua and Barbuda Volleyball Association (ABVA) League campaign with 10-1, while Pytonz ended their campaign with an 8-2 record.
Stoneville join Paragons who reclaimed their female title with a perfect record of 12-0 after edging out North Coast Hardware (NCH) Starz Nova 3-2 in sets.
After forfeiting the first set 0-25 and losing the second 17-25, the champions made truth of the phrase that ‘the cream always rises to the top’ winning the last three sets, 25-17, 25-17, 15-10.
