Defending male volleyball champions Stoneville, and powerhouse team Da Squad, remain undefeated in the ongoing ABAVA League over the weekend.

Stoneville, in the feature encounter of the double header Saturday evening at the YMCA Sports Complex, edged out rivals, High Flyerz 3-2 in sets.

After winning the first set, 25-20, the champions faltered losing the second 13-25.

From there, it was a see-saw battle with Stoneville winning the third set, 25-18, and High Flyerz the fourth, 25-27.

High Flyerz however could not find the winning formula to hand Stoneville their first loss of the season and faltered losing the fifth and final set, 17-15.

Stoneville now advance to the semi-finals undefeated.

Meanwhile in the female division, JanServe Events Cool and Smooth Da Squad’s dominant season continued as they defeated Jets in straight sets, winning, 25-18, 25-16, 25-17.

They too advance to the semi-finals undefeated.

Action will continue on Thursday when Paragons will battle North Coast Hardware Starz 1, while Michael Freeland Enforcers will battle High Flyerz
