Stingerz remain perfect, Police put the shackles on Outlaws

Stingerz pushed their undefeated record to 8-0 on Saturday night at the JSC.

The green men defeated Ottos Full Throttle 91-62 in the feature encounter of the double header evening in Division One of the Antigua and Barbuda Basketball Association (ABBA).

Leroy Percival led the victors with a game high 22 points and 12 rebounds.

He was assisted by overseas-based player, James Barbee Jr, who had 18 points, six rebounds and six assists and Keroi “Dragon” Lee who netted 14 and grabbed 13 rebounds.

Teammates Devorn Benjamin and Trinidadian Akeem Boyd also got in on the action sinking 14 and 12 points respectively.

Boyd had an additional 11 rebounds and six assists.

Ottos’ Lincoln Weekes had 20 points and six rebounds while teammate Akeem “Chemist” Davis scored 14.

Kwame Payne chipped in netting 13 points and Shawn Williams 10.

The lawmen put the shackles on Idea Media Outlaws beating them 97-67.

Overseas-based player, Isaac Bragg, was the leading scorer for the lawmen banking 29 points, snatching six rebounds and making five assists.

Jacob “Jake the Snake” Lloyd assisted scoring 16 points and making 11 assists while teammates Kelvin “Shuggy” Simon and Deandre Punter contributed netting 14. Simon had an additional 15 rebounds while Punter had eight.

Damien “Duckman” Floyd, also of Police, had 12 points and 17 rebounds.

Outlaws’ Darius Daniels had 15 points, nine rebounds and 11 assists while skipper Darren Jeanville sank 12 and made seven rebounds.

Teammates Kareem Blair and Victor Osbourne both netted 10 points in a losing effort.
