State College remain dominant

Defending Senior boys’ champions, Antigua State College (ASC) continued their dominant run in the ongoing Cool and Smooth sponsored Inter-school Basketball League.

ASC trounced former champions, Ottos Comprehensive School (OCS) 70-32 on Tuesday afternoon at JSC.

Tshawn Lewis led the victors with a game high 18 points. He was assisted by Cecil Farrell who netted 12, Jamar Bird 10, and Shamar Joseph, 10.

Aidan Cannonier was the lone player in double figures, banking 14.

This win pushes ASC’s record to 5-0.

Meanwhile, in Senior Girls action, former champions, Princess Margaret School (PMS) edged out All Saints Secondary School (ASSS) II 14-13.

The nail-biter affair saw Melissa Haywood lead PMS to their first win with eight points while Tiquesha Charles and Kendra Carr sank four and three points in a losing effort.
