St. Mary’s Secondary School were the biggest winners in the Boys Under-14 Division of the Cool & Smooth/Joma sponsored Schools Football Competition on Tuesday, inflicting a 4-0 defeat on St. Anthony’s Secondary School (SASS).
St. Mary’s Secondary were led by Petterson Phoenix who recorded a double strike, netting in minutes 34 and 43 while Dequan Samuel (8) and Raheem Grimmond (25) both scored twice.
There was victory as well for the Ottos Comprehensive School (OCS) as they beat Princess Margaret School (PMS) one-nil (1-0). Elisa McDonald scored the lone goal of the contest when he struck in the fifth minute.
Also on Tuesday, the Antigua Grammar School (AGS) had the better of All Saints Secondary School (ASSS), winning the contest 1-0. Tafari Parker was on target for AGS in the 23rd minute.
In other results, Pares Secondary School (PSS) defaulted to St. Joseph’s Academy (SJA) while the scheduled contest between Clare Hall Secondary School (CHSS) and the Sir Novelle Richards Academy (SNRA) did not materialize.
