The Liberta Blackhawks and the Rising Sun Spartans will be meeting in a best of three finals for the Sir Vivian Richards Thursday League Competition on Thursday.
Rising Sun defeated Mahico in a qualifier by 48 runs last Thursday when the two teams met at Clare Hall.
They elected to bat first and got off to a flying start, reaching 71 in the first five overs before losing the first wicket.
Martin Singh top scored with 42, Essan Warner 30 and Junior Henry 29 to help them get to 185 for six in 20 overs.
The pick of the bowlers was Samuel Peters who grabbed three for 18 from his quota of overs and was well supported by Hughan ‘Muscle’ Tonge who had two for 14.
In return, Mahico lost a wicket off the very first ball of their chase as Tyrone Williams could not negotiate a delivery from Owen Graham who sneaked a ball through his defence to castle him.
Mahico never really posed any great threat to the target set by the Spartans as Demari Benta kept them in check in the powerplay to pick up two for 12 from his four overs.
Then Singh collected three wickets for 20 runs as the home side were bowled out for 137 inside 20 overs.
Kenrick Scott had a top score of 46 while Keif Baltimore had 23.
The Spartans who are the defending champions will meet Blackhawks in another final after they beat them last year in the final.
