Two additional footballers will join the previously mentioned four Antiguan youth footballers in Spain.

The four men – Raheem Deterville and Jahiem Hazelwood of Old Road FC, Zaire Scott of Green City, and Shawn Watkins of Abaya FC – were previously announced as having garnered the opportunity of a lifetime to play for semi-professional club La Albatalia in Spain.

There was a bit of controversy however before the four young men could travel to the European nation as it was alleged that the players needed to show proof of vaccination and a negative test result to enter the country.

That however seems to have been resolved as it has been announced that the initial four, alongside two additional players, will travel to Spain.

Former Paris Saint-Germain Academy (Florida) player, 20-year-old Tarik Williams and goalkeeper 18-year-old Kelvin Sundar from Westham FC will now join that list.

The players expressed gratitude to Chesley Browne from the Old Road football club who was the mastermind in getting these opportunities afforded to the youngsters.

The players will spend an initial four months at the Spanish club in the hopes of boosting their football careers.
