Sir McChesney continue dominant performance

Sir McChesney George Secondary School made it 2-0 on Thursday afternoon in the Intermediate Boys category of the Cool and Smooth Inter-School Basketball League.

The lone Secondary school from Barbuda, after thrashing St. Joseph’s Academy in their opening bout, trounced Pares Secondary School 42-11 at the JSC Sports Complex.

Dequan Curry led the victors with 15 points with assistance from Chamoye Tonge who netted 13.

Pares’ Christopher O’Garro had five points and Marques Lewis made four points in a losing effort.

Clare Hall Secondary School were also victorious that day defeating St. Anthony’s Secondary School 33-23.

Jaheem James was the leading scorer for the victors sinking 11 points.

He was assisted by Joel Santana who chipped in with nine points.

Javier Burnette and Deavere Smith scored a combined 14 points.

Meanwhile, in the Mini-Boys Secondary division, Antigua Grammar School edged Irene B. Williams Secondary School 9-7, and Sir McChesney ran a clinic on SJA, beating them 31-9.

Tahje Browne and Maliek Francis made four points for AGS while Jahquan Morris netted four for Irene B.

Games will continue on Monday starting at 2:30 p.m. in the Mini-Boys Primary section as Potters Primary will play Greenbay, Combined Schools will face Cobbs Cross, Villa Primary will battle J.T. Ambrose, Old Road will meet Golden Grove, Cedar Grove will play Sea View Farm and Liberta will battle Buckley’s Primary.

All games will be played at the JSC.
