The identity of last Friday’s shooting victim has been identified and sources say his condition is serious.
Shortly before 9pm, Corey Millette of Greenbay was shot multiple times outside his business which is located at the junction of Union Road and the Golden Grove Extension main road.
The source told Observer that Millette, who was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), is on a ventilator.
Reports are that the 35-year-old was sitting outside the establishment when two unidentified gunmen approached him. The assailants, whose faces were concealed, opened fire before fleeing the scene on foot.
Millette was reportedly transported to the hospital via a private vehicle.
The police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
They are appealing to the public for assistance and anyone with information that could lead to the apprehension of the suspects is urged to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or Crimestoppers at 800-8477.
