Seaview Farm FC demonstrated the power of a strong start, securing a 2-1 victory over Earthquake FC in Wednesday’s ABFA Second Division football action.
The home side wasted no time asserting their dominance, with Markland Wright opening the scoring in just the second minute. Rhezal Gomes doubled the advantage five minutes later, giving Seaview Farm a commanding 2-0 lead before the match had truly settled.
The game’s turning point could have come in the 48th minute when Earthquake FC was awarded a penalty, but Rjanie Thompson failed to convert from the spot, maintaining Seaview Farm’s two-goal cushion. Gomes would later add his second goal of the match in the 65th minute, effectively securing the points for the home side.
Thompson eventually found the net for Earthquake FC in the 87th minute, but it proved to be merely a consolation as Seaview Farm held on for a well-deserved victory.
