In an action-packed evening of Antigua and Barbuda Football Second Division on Friday, Seaview Farm FC showcased their attacking strength with a commanding 6-1 victory over Young Lions FC, while Bluejays FC secured an impressive 4-2 win against Guydadli FC.
At Old Road, Seaview Farm FC wasted no time asserting their dominance, with Azari Edwards finding the net in just the second minute. Rhezal Gomes extended their lead in the 36th minute before Chevon Moore added to the tally early in the second half. Joshua Wadi then produced a remarkable hat-trick, scoring in the 67th, 87th, and 89th minutes. Young Lions’ consolation goal came through Zavier Joseph in the 69th minute.
The match at Johnston’s proved equally entertaining, as Bluejays FC overcame Guydadli FC in a six-goal thriller. Despite Guydadli taking an early lead through Keyondre Hewlett‘s 5th-minute strike, Bluejays responded quickly with Ja-Rohn Thomas equalizing in the 10th minute. Maleke Francis then turned the game on its head with a double strike in the 35th and 39th minutes. The drama continued until the final whistle, with Kishorn Hamilton scoring in stoppage time, though the victory was slightly marred by Thomas’s late dismissal for a second bookable offense.
In other matches, Bethesda FC dominated their home fixture against Herberts FC, securing a convincing 4-1 victory. O’Shale Simon was the star of the show, completing a first-half hat-trick with goals in the 9th, 24th, and 28th minutes, while Vernon Jeffers added a fourth in the 31st minute. Herberts’ Orane Gore managed to pull one back after the break.
At Buckley’s, Golden Grove FC secured a solid 2-0 victory over Young Warriors FC, with quick-fire goals from Kuanjah Carter and Terrence Spencer in the 31st and 33rd minutes respectively sealing the win.
