Sap Finally Get A Victory After Nine Weeks, But Bassa Draw Again

Defending ABFA, Digicel, Hadeed Motors and OBSERVER Group Premier Division champions Cool & Smooth Sap finally got a victory after almost 9 weeks as the pressure built on them to get out of the relegation zone.

Playing in the first game of a double header on New Year’s Day (Friday), the defending champions beat another struggling team La Bussola Willikies Warriors, 2 goals to nil.

Okeem “Soda” Challenger put his team ahead in the 61st minute before Orlando Peters sealed the victory in the second (90+2) of 3 added minutes.

The victory may now enable Sap to feel a little bit safer and to the point where they now seem eager to climb out of the relegation zone.

In the feature game on Friday, All Saints United came from behind to earn a draw against leaders Bassa.

Schyan Jeffers scored both goals for Bassa in the first half, but Ken Pennyfeather and Oral Roberts scored a goal each in the second half to draw level.

It means that Bassa move to 38 points, All Saints to 27 points, defending champions Sap move to 16 points, while La Bussola Willikies Warriors remain on 12 points.
