There were two days of mixed results in the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association’s First and Second Divisions as SAP FC secured a thrilling 3-2 victory over FC Master Ballers in Thursday’s First Division action.
At Bolans, SAP FC struck early through Devonta Geran‘s sixth-minute goal. Though Greg Eustace Williams levelled for Master Ballers in the 17th minute, Jermaine Browne restored SAP’s lead in the 37th minute. Do-Quane Lewis extended the advantage shortly after halftime, scoring in the 47th minute. Williams netted his second goal for Master Ballers in the 62nd minute, but SAP held on for the win.
In Freeman’s Village, a late flurry of goals saw the home team share points with Swetes FC in a 1-1 draw. Andre Kellman put Freemans Village ahead in the 75th minute, but Wayne Phillip converted a penalty in the 82nd minute to secure a point for Swetes.
Tryum FC earned a road victory at Urlings, with Zabuda McCoy‘s 69th-minute goal proving decisive in their 1-0 win. Meanwhile, Empire FC and Ottos Rangers played out a goalless draw at KS Shepperd Recreation Park.
In Second Division action from Wednesday, Guydadli FC claimed a 2-0 victory over Tamo FC at Golden Grove. After a scoreless first half, Keyondre Hewlett broke the deadlock in the 63rd minute, with Michael Peters adding a second ten minutes later.
