Sandals records ninth win, APUA Water suffers another loss

Former champions, Sandals, moved their record to 10-4 on Thursday night at the JSC Sports Complex after defeating Eye Mobile Vision Care, 76-68, in the feature encounter.

Devorn Benjamin led the victors with 22 points while teammates Keroi “Dragon” Lee and Raviel Burton sank 21 and 20 points respectively.

Eye Mobile’s Javonte Daley had 18 points with assistance from Jerome Andrew and Donte Trimmingham who netted 12 and 11 points in a losing effort.

They now move to an 8-4 record.

Pointe FM was also victorious that night as they trounced Cleaners by an 83-52 score line.

Victor Osbourne was the leading scorer for the victors with 22 points while teammates, Deandris Connell and Antonio Cruz, sank 14 and 13 points.

Hansem Richards also got in on the action scoring 11.

Cleaners’ Adrian Carnegie had 14 points. He was assisted by Andre Edwards and Jaheem James who made 11 and 10 points.

In the other match played that night, Digicel handed APUA Water their ninth loss of the season winning, 64-52.

Tevin Bowers led the charge with 17 points with assistance from Raymond Dickenson and Jamar Bird who chipped in sinking 15 and 12 points.

Water’s Michael Jeffers had 18 points.

Games will continue tonight starting at 6:30 as Burton’s Laundry will face FLOW while at 7:30 Anjo Wholesale will battle Antigua and Barbuda Transport Board.

In the other match at 8:30, Kennedy’s will face Galley Bay.
