Sandals were the biggest winners in the Cool and Smooth-sponsored Business Basketball League on Monday, enjoying an 88-49 triumph over Lion Feast at the JSC basketball complex.
Contesting the second game of a triple-header, Sandals were led by Scotty Nelson with 17 points. There were contributions of 16 points each from Keroi Lee and T-Shawn Lewis. Lee also grabbed eight rebounds, while Lewis had seven. Selassie Brathwaite also contributed to the winning cause with 12 points and four assists.
In a losing effort, Baldwin Anthony Jr and Felix Hamilton both picked up 17 points. Hamilton also had seven rebounds and four assists while Anthony also had six rebounds.
There was victory as well for Antigua Power Company (APC) as they edged Richie’s Shooterz 54-49 in the night’s feature contest.
APC were led by Akeem Davis with 16 points while Tristan Jacobs and Judah Ferris contributed with 15 and 10 points respectively. In a losing effort, Ariel Quallis led the charge for Richie’s Shooterz with 14 points and six rebounds, while Nickon McGregor also had 14 points.
In the night’s opening clash, Lava Smoke Shop defeated Eye Mobile Vision Care 63-57. Lincoln Weekes shot a game-high of 31 points with three assists and four steals in the winning effort. Michael Barton chipped in with 14 points, 23 rebounds, five assists, three steals and five blocks. Jason Phillip also contributed to the winning cause with 10 points.
For Eye Mobile, Jaylele Joseph top-scored with 14 points and five steals with Tristan Richards adding 10 points.
