The Sandals Foundation partnered with local community organisation, Boss Ladies Connect, on Sunday for their annual ‘Day with the Girls’ project, a much-needed time of relaxation and fun for girls aged 3-15.

The initiative was particularly timely coming just before the start of the new school year, ensuring that the girls enjoyed a day of engaging activities that fostered camaraderie and personal development.

The Sandals Foundation also gifted several custom-made school bags to the participants.

Boss Ladies Connect Founder Tamorla Millette said, “This thoughtful gesture not only provides essential school supplies but also serves as a reminder of the importance of education and the support available to local families.”

Sandals Public Relations Manager Leon Norville, who presented the items, emphasised the Foundation’s dedication to investing in local youth.

The event followed the recent announcement of the Foundation’s Care for Kids five-year scholarship programme, which will benefit two Antiguan and Barbudan students, further underscoring the organisation’s commitment to educational empowerment.

Meanwhile, the Sandals Foundation is also preparing for its annual back-to-school distribution drive set to take place later this week at Sandals Grande Antigua Resort, a release said.
