Rotarians welcome donation from St John’s Lodge

Efforts to promote hand-washing and hygiene in schools have been given a boost thanks to a kind donation from the St John’s Lodge.

Rotary Club of Sundown Antigua President Julian Wilkins accepted a cheque handed over by Immediate Past Master Lt Col Edward Croft. The $9,450 gift will help an ongoing Rotary project focusing on disease prevention and treatment, and water sanitation.  

Lt Col Croft said, having seen the club’s work within many of the nation’s schools and Public Library, his organisation felt compelled to help. 

President Julian expressed a heartfelt thank you to the Lodge and said he was delighted that the organisations could come together to expand on a meaningful venture.
