The country has, for the year now, recorded three road fatalities.
Thirty-two-year-old Sadique Charles has succumbed to injuries he received in an accident on Saturday.
The police say the Falmouth resident died at the hospital just after 5 o’clock Monday afternoon.
The head of the Traffic Department, Leonard Cabral, says the auto body repair man lost control of his car and ran into a utility pole, destroying the vehicle in the process.
Cabral says Charles was heading to the capital, St John’s, about 1.14 am on Saturday when the accident occurred.
The senior police officer says three road fatalities for the year is too many. There were 13 last year.
