Justice Clare Henry was a fair, firm, friendly and even-handed Judge who served the legal profession with dedication and distinction for over forty years. Her judicial portfolios included Chief Magistrate of Antigua and Barbuda, High Court Judge, and Court of Appeals Judge (Ag).
On the bench, she exuded calm, listened intently, showed respect for counsel, and rendered thorough, well-written analytical judgments. She carried no ‘airs and graces’, bore a pleasant disposition, shared a ready smile, and possessed a great sense of humour in her own quiet and dignified way. .
On completion of her stint of several years on the High Court Bench in Grenada, she was given a warm appreciative send-off by the Grenada Bar Association.
She served Grenada and the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court (ECSC) well.
Let us treasure her memory. Deepest condolences to her family, friends and colleagues.
