Regulars beat Fire in Elmore Scholar 10 overs Police Week cricket clash

A top score of 17 runs from Yohan Johnson and eight runs each from Assistant Commissioner of Police Elvis Weaver and Cordell Olivierre could not save Fire from an eight-wicket defeat at the hands of their competitors in the Police Week Elmore Scholar 10 overs cricket match contested Wednesday at the Powell’s playing field.

There was a contribution of seven runs from Trudyann King as well for the Fire team. Bowling for the Regulars, Vincent Shadrach Jr picked up two wickets for three runs. There was one wicket each for Kirma Peters and Nevil Nichols.

When their turn at the crease arrived “Regulars” reached their target at 71 in just 5.2 overs, losing only two wickets in the process. Malique Gerald hit a top score of 42 not out while Lynton Africa made 13 not out.

Bowling for the Fire team, Katanya Skepple picked up one wicket for 11 runs.
