Pytonz sting High Flyers

Pytonz secured another big win in the Male Division of the Antigua and Barbuda Amateur Volleyball Association (ABAVA) league on Thursday night at the YMCA Volleyball Indoor facility.
Pytonz, who feature a number of national players such as Yashid “Granny” Auguiste and Paul Richards, defeated High Flyers A, 3-1 in the feature encounter.
After taking the first two sets, 25-23;25-23, the victors faltered giving up the third set 17-25 to High Flyers who were led by national player, Jamarie “Tusty” James.
Pytonz however, would not be outdone and rallied in the fourth; 25-18 to cut the chances for High Flyers A to push to a final fifth set.
In the other match-up that evening, Starz Nova handed Da Squad a straight sets defeat: 25-14, 25-15, 25-22.
Twenty-four hours earlier, Stoneville found themselves in the winner’s circle winning in the female division while Renegades did light work on Sharks trouncing them in straight sets, 25-23, 25-20, 25-19.
Games will continue tonight starting at 6:30 p.m. in the female category as Starz Nova will face Stoneville while in the male section, Sharks will battle Stoneville.
Both games will be played at the YMCA Volleyball Indoor facility.
