PWD Hot Mix and Dixie pick up victories in Business Football League

Public Works Department (PWD) Hot Mix and Dixie were only two of the many victors on Saturday in the ongoing Ministry of Sports Business Football league.
Hot Mix, playing at the Golden Grove playing field, defeated Galley Bay Resorts, 3-1.
Mikey Lewis was a goal short of a hattrick finding the back of the net twice for the victors.
Teammate, Hummel Richmond scored the third and final goal.
Playing at the same venue, PWD All Stars were not as successful as their second team.
All Stars went under to Rex Resorts, 2-1, as Jamel Williams and Randy Davis struck home for the victors.
Dixie however joined PWD Hot Mix in the winner’s circle edging out A.S. Bryden, 3-2 in English Harbor.
Jaleel Peters and J’Cory Lewis both scored for the victors with Peters hitting home twice.
National Parks also were victorious in English Harbor trouncing High Ballers Construction, 3-0.
Meanwhile in Jennings, Starfish Jolly Beach edged out Airport, 2-1, while defending champions, West Indies Oil Company (WIOC) suffered their second loss of the season falling to Hermitage Bay Strikers, 3-0.
Shaquille Brown and Conrad Willock were the goal-scorers for Jolly Beach.
Jordan Graham and Kwami Jahquan led their team, Verandah, to a 2-1 triumph over Rainforest Zipliners in New Winthorpes while St. John’s Development Cooperative (SJDC) defeated APUA Head Office, 3-1 in King George.
In the other matches played that night, Ministry of Tourism and Curtain Bluff resorts played to a one-all draw, General Post
Office defeated Chappa Bulldozers, 1-0 and KFC trounced Stingray City Wranglers, 6-2.
Blue Waters edged out Jumby Bay Island, 2-1, Sandals went under to Dew’s Vipers, 2-0, while Kennedy’s Blue Diamond trampled Ministry of Agriculture, 7-2.
