Four men accused of carrying out a massive drug trafficking operation in January this year have all walked free after the prosecution withdrew the case against them due to insufficient evidence.

The accused were Gerald Darroux, a Dominican national living in Golden Grove New Extension; Glenroy Pierre, a Vincentian national living in the Falmouth Harbor area; Godfrey King of Green Hill, Liberta;  and Sydney Norville of Marble Hill.

The Director of Public Prosecutions, Anthony Armstrong, who appeared before Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel in the All Saints Magistrate’s Court yesterday, indicated there was serious conflicting information in the evidence from two of the officers, hence he asked that the case be withdrawn.
