Press Release: Police Probe Service Station Shooting

Police are investigating a shooting incident at Robinson Service Station Sunday night, which left 67yr-old Selvin Haywood of Sutherlands Development nursing a gunshot wound to his mouth.
Haywood, who is employed as a Security Officer with Special Security Services, was on duty at the said service station when the incident occurred.
It is alleged that a white heavily tinted Nissan Versa Motor car pulled into the service station around 10pm with two male occupants, and one got out and opened fire at him.
He was injured in the lower lip, and was transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
His injury is reported as serious but not life threatening.
The police have since recovered what appeared to be a spent ammunition shell from the scene; along with the vehicle allegedly involved in the incident, which was abandoned at St Claire Heights.
Further investigations are continuing into the matter.
