Arnold Graham, well known as DJ Nez, was yesterday remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison on an attempted murder charge.

The 39-year-old allegedly committed the crime on June 9th at Bendals, following a disagreement with his 18-year-old ex-girlfriend.

Graham appeared before All Saints Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel yesterday morning and was remanded since the nature of the charge does not allow her to grant bail.

The accused, who is also a photographer, was represented by Michael Archibald who reportedly plans to seek bail from the High Court.

On the day of the incident, the accused allegedly had an argument with the female over a social media post which he accused her of making on his personal Instagram page.

The argument started over the phone and police sources said the two met to discuss the matter later that day.

The DJ allegedly drove his vehicle into a lamp post and the young woman was ejected from the car, after which the accused allegedly reversed and tried to run her over.

The young woman was reportedly present at the court yesterday when Graham was escorted for his first hearing.
