A police officer is nursing a gunshot wound after his firearm apparently discharged accidently.
Police PRO Inspector Frankie Thomas said the incident occurred shortly after noon yesterday at the Royalton Hotel.
Thomas told Observer that the officer is in stable condition and his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
The circumstances which preceded the incident are unknown and under investigation.
