The police are continuing investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death of 54-year-old Asot Michael, MP for the Constituency of St. Peter.
Around 8 am on Tuesday, November 5, the police responded to a report, where the body of the Hon. Asot Michael was found unresponsive at his home at Dry Hill.
He was found with what appears to be multiple puncture wounds about his body. His body was pronounced dead at 10:10 am by a medical doctor who arrived at the scene.
Commissioner of Police, Mr. Atlee Rodney was at the scene and expressed his condolences to the family of Mr. Michael. He has also assured them the police will use whatever resources they have available to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.

Police are further asking members of the public to respect the Michael’s family, and desist from posting sensitive images or comments on social media about his death.
