Pointville Ballers and Flyers 2 were winners in the Antigua and Barbuda Basketball Association (ABBA) Division 2 when the competition continued at the JSC complex on Sunday night.
Playing in the opening game of a double-header, Pointville Ballers dispatched of Ottos Clippers by 16 points, winning 76-60. Outscored in only the second quarter (27-16), Ballers dominated the contest by winning the opening quarter 14-9 before dominating the third and fourth quarters 16-4 and 30-20 respectively.
Khalid Shabazz and Dyllan Joseph both sank 15 points for the victors with Shabazz grabbing six rebounds. Jason Phillip led the way for Clippers with 19 points, 11 rebounds and four steals while Keithroy Titus finished with 10 points.
In the night’s feature contest, Flyers 2 made easy work of Fearless Crew 1 to win 65-46 also at JSC. Flyers dominated the game throughout, outscoring their opponents 18-11 in the first quarter, 17-10 in the second, 21-18 in the in the third and 9-7 in the fourth.
Tequan Brodie led the way with 21 points for the victors while Sadiq Phillip had 11 points. Hansen Richards was the leading scorer for Fearless Crew with 11 points.
