Pointe FM, Kennedy’s and Anjo’s win in Business League basketball

Action continued in the Cool & Smooth-sponsored Business League Basketball Competition on Monday night with victories for Pointe FM, Kennedy’s and Anjo Wholesale.

Playing at the JSC Basketball Complex, Pointe FM enjoyed the largest margin of victory on the night, as they turned up the heat on APUA Water to win the one-sided affair by a 102-48 margin.

Kwame Brathwaite top-scored for Pointe FM with 30 points but received assistance from Felix Hamilton and Sean Nicholas with 28 and 16 points respectively. Michael Jeffers was the top scorer for APUA Water with 16 points while Art Phillip assisted with 15 points.

Meanwhile, Kennedy’s also enjoyed a comfortable 87-39 victory over Burton’s Laundry. Daniel Perez led the charge for Kennedy’s with 13 points. He was assisted by Warren Bogle and Sheldon Abrams with 12 and 10 points respectively. Bruce Whyte and Kelvin Simon were the only scorers of note for Burton’s Laundry with nine points each.

In the other match contested on Monday night, Anjo Wholesale blew past Flow by an 83-55 margin. Steven Matthew topped all scorers with 25 points to lead Anjo’s charge. He was helped by Humroy Wright and Andrew Venture with 18 and 11 points respectively.

In a losing effort, Daviae Aaron led all scorers for Flow with 12 points while Benjamin Meade and Leroy Percival added 11 and 10 points respectively to the total.
