PMS Retain Under-15 Schools Football Title Following Win Over Rivals OCS

Princess Margaret School (PMS) were crowned champions of the Boys Under-16 Division in the Cool & Smooth/Joma sponsored Schools Football Competition following a 2-0 triumph over Ottos Comprehensive School (OCS) as play climaxed at the historical Antigua Recreation Grounds (AGS) on Thursday.

Makhi Phillip was the hero of the day for PMS, scoring both goals for the champions with strikes in the 16th and 28th minutes of play. The win lifts PMS to 28 points from their 10 matches and to the championship trophy while OCS finished on 27 points and second in the competition.

Meanwhile, All Saints Secondary School (ASSS) had the better of the St Joseph’s Academy (SJA) by a 3-1 margin to grab a bronze medal finish. Kamarlie Brodie (7), Jalen Joseph (33), and Aaron Marie (56) all struck once for All Saints. Ajabe Rae scored the lone goal for SJA when he struck in the 50th minute.

The win carried ASSS to 21 points in the third position while SJA ends on 18 points and fourth on the standings.
