PMS and Clare Hall get dominant wins in schools’ football

Defending champions, Princess Margaret School (PMS), were comfortable 4-1 winners over the Antigua Grammar School (AGS) when they met in the Boys Under-14 Division of the Cool & Smooth/Joma sponsored Schools Football Competition on Tuesday.

Delroy Francis and Allan Henry both scored twice for the victors with Francis netting in minutes seven and 48 while Henry scored in minutes 30 and 39. Uzziah Zachariah was the lone goal-scorer for AGS when he hit the back of the net in minute seven.

There was a comfortable win as well for Clare Hall Secondary School as they beat Ottos Comprehensive School (OCS) 5-0. Tevon Henderson led the charge for CHSS with four goals, netting in minutes three, eight, 27 and 41. Kyle Joseph recorded the other strike in minute 40.

Also on Tuesday, Sir Novelle Richards Academy (SNRA) blanked Pares Secondary School (PSS) 4-0. Jahviere Davis (8 and 16), Romain Gentles (13) and Dnic Haloway (37) all netted for SNRA.

St Joseph’s Academy (SJA) beat St Anthony’s Secondary School (SASS) 2-1 with Chaze Williams scoring both goals for SJA with strikes in minutes five and 44 while Chance Degannes scored for SASS in minute 51.

In the other match contested, All Saints Secondary School (ASSS) edged St Mary’s Secondary School (SMSS) 2-1. Shamar Hurst (29) and Asantae Warner (20) were on target for the winners while Jahdante Griffith (42), netted for SMSS.
