Prime Minister Gaston Browne says he expects MP Eustace “Teco” Lake’s full cooperation if the party chooses replace him.
Lake is the sitting St John’s Rural South MP, but is known to have been suffering from Kidney complications since January of this year.
Browne admits that the party has discussed the possibility of replacing the MP but says no final decision to on Lake’s candidacy has been reached.

Browne was speaking t OBSERVER media yesterday.
Reliable sources told OBSERVER media that a decision had been made that businessman Daryll Matthew would oust Lake.
But Lake says the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party will have a fight on its hands if the attempt to oust him. He says he will run in St John’s Rural south in 2019.
Lakes says he will go independent if he has to do so and warns that if he does, quote “everyone will suffer”. Lake claims he was caught off guard by the news of a possible replacement.
However, Browne says if Lake recovers fully then he will be allowed to run. The prime minister says will not be an emotional, but a dispassionate decision of the party.
He also says all ABLP candidates will be known before the end of the year.

That is Prime Minister Gaston Browne.
