Pigotts, Police and St. Paul’s win in Parish League

St. Paul’s pulled off an impressive victory in the Antigua Commercial Bank (ACB)/Dave Joseph 35 Overs cricket competition over the weekend, beating Freetown by 104 runs on Saturday.
Batting first, St. Paul’s reached 177 before they were all out with knocks of 52 and 44 coming from Geetesh Harilall and Michael Dover, respectively.
Vance Nathaniel was the pick of the bowlers for the losing team, picking up two wickets for just four runs while Javier Drew picked up two wickets for 19 runs.
In their chase, Freetown could only get to 73 before they were all out with their best effort from Delon Wills who had 34 runs. Andra Samuel claimed four wickets for 32 runs while Vince Smith snatched 2 for 5 bowling for St. Paul’s.
Also over the weekend, Police defeated Urlings by eight wickets.
Batting first, Urlings made 102 all out with their best effort coming from J. Smith with 25. James Cornelius was the pick of the bowlers for the lawmen, claiming three wickets for 15 runs.
Police lost only two wickets in their chase, getting to 104 in the process. Malique Gerald top scored with 34 while Jeron James was 30 not out.
Meanwhile, Pigotts beat Seatons by 85 runs. Pigotts posted 180 for 4 with Tris Phillip hitting a mammoth 112 not out. Nevins Hector was the only bowler of note for the losing team as he picked up three wickets for 62 runs.
Seatons could only muster a reply of 96 before they were all out. Shaquan O’Neal led Pigotts’ bowling attack, claiming five wickets for 22 runs while Omar Francis had figures of four wickets for 28 runs.
