Picture of the day: King boards flight to extradition

Former FSRC boss, Leroy King, accompanied by US Marshals, boards an international flight as he is extradited to the United States to answer charges.

In 2009, he had been charged by United States authorities with committing acts of facilitation in the US $7 billion Ponzi scheme involving the subsequently convicted R Allen Stanford.

King’s attorney, Dr. David Dorsett, appealed to the Cabinet of Antigua and Barbuda this past Wednesday for a “time extension”  for his client. His request was denied, as it was deemed “inappropriate” by the Attorney General Steadroy Benjamin.
