Derick Perez was on fire for Potters Primary, scoring all 20 points in the school’s convincing win over Five Islands in the Mini Boys division of the Cool & Smooth sponsored Schools Basketball Competition on Tuesday.


Playing at the JSC basketball complex, Perez sank all 20 of his team’s points as they beat Five Islands 20-4. Adirron Samuel scored all four points for Five Islands.


Greenbay Primary also won on Tuesday, beating TN Kirnon Primary 13-5. Justin Biggs and Raylin Rodriguez led the way for Greenbay with six and five points respectively. Jayden Ephraim scored four points in a losing effort for TN Kirnon.


There was victory as well for Golden Grove Primary who beat JT Ambrose Primary 8-1. Buckley’s Primary were slim 10-9 winners over Cedar Grove Primary with Isiah Simon (6 points) and Adonis Colborne (4 points) leading the charge for the victors. Khai Charles and Emeka Daniels both had four points for Cedar Grove.


Also, Post Millenial Academy beat Sea View Farm Primary 7-6. Jimani Anderson and Antwone Henry both scored three points for the victors while Teferi Howell picked up four points for Sea View Farm.


In the other match contested, Mary E Pigott had the better of Villa Primary 4-0 with Ezekiel George scoring all four points for the victory.
