Former national footballer Fitzmore “Quakerbag” Jacobs was the recipient of some goodwill from the Past Players Foundation Inc after the group made a timely donation to his wife Sharon on Sunday.
Jacobs suffered a severe stroke in June last year and is still recuperating.
The donation, which was made by President of the Football Past Players Support Inc, Fitzgerald Semper and founding member Steveroy “Deman” Anthony, included sanitary and dietary products.
The past players institution had joined forces with the Bendals FC — one of Jacobs’ former clubs — in September last year to jointly host a soccerama at the Bendals playing field in an effort to raise funds in aid of the former player’s rehabilitation.
In January, the foundation also came to the aid of former Bendals and Hoppers player, Curty Henry, with the donation of concrete blocks towards the renovation of his home.
