Pares and Wings were the only two winners in Antigua & Barbuda Football Association’s (ABFA) Second Division football division on Monday.
Playing at home, Pares enjoyed a 4-1 victory over Blizzard as they moved onto four points after three outings.
They had goals coming from Carl “Muslim” Constant who scored twice, along with Darren Simpson and Carrie Benjamin who contributed a goal each.
Parlous Martin scored the lone goal for Blizzard who were relegated from First Division last season. They remain on three points after three matches.
Meanwhile Wings, playing away to Glanvilles, romped to a 2-0 victory via strikes from Nickardo Lindsay and Xavier Meade. The win lifts Wings to six points from three showings.
In another Second Division match, Tryum and Police played to a 2-2 draw at Police Recreation Grounds. Oswin Benjamin and Tito Crump netted for Tryum while Petrie Francis scored both goals for the lawmen.
In the day’s other encounter, Shotguns and Ambassadors (Young Boys) played to a 1-1 draw. Bernard Agustin scored for Shotguns while Timothy Spence hit home for Ambassadors (Young Boys).
The draw earned Shotguns their first point after three matches while Ambassadors move onto five points after four games.
The competition continues today when Jennings United play Bendals at Jennings, Five Islands tackle Garden Stars at Liberta and John Hughes host Lion Hill. All matches will start at 4:20 pm.
